In this talk Deborah will explain a little about this 125 year old position and explain her processes for drawing, painting and managing the flowers that she paints. Deborah Lambkin has been the official orchid artist to the Royal Horticultural Society since 2005, painting awarded orchids for the RHS Orchid Committee. Deborah has completed over 500 orchid paintings of a wide variety of orchids for the RHS collections.
Bio
Deborah has been a professional botanical illustrator since leaving the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland in 1991. She works on a freelance basis for the Royal Horticultural Society and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Eric Young Orchid Foundation. She teaches occasionally and exhibits regularly.’
